the first design collaboration between joran briand, corentin de chatelperron and frédéric morand
introduces an eco-friendly stool as an alternative to both timber and fiberglass. using jute fibre mats instead,
the trio utilizes its excellent mechanical qualities to replace the un-sustainable material in many applications.
as the production process uses very little energy and supports local agriculture, bangladesh was
chosen to support manufacturing - where jute is found in abundance.

compact and yet streamlined, the furniture piece refers to the bollards to be seen in every port. fabrication is simple:
jute mat is cut to size and laid in a mold, which is then filled with polyester resin. after hardening and trimming,
the result is a stack-able stool that weighs just four kilos (40% fibre, 60% resin) with excellent resistance to flexion tests.
