'dip dye', the collaboration between product designers karlsson & bjork and textile designers sundin/persson.
approaches its process without given hierarchies. rather than having the furniture piece developed first,
then later fitted with a random fabric - the idea allows the physical components to bare the imprint of the
upholstery and vice versa through-out the development stages. the textiles are folded and squeezed between
the legs which are held together with zip ties -  involving the dying process as part of the finished product aesthetic.
the result depends on the type of wood, fabric and color, making every example unique.

DIP DYE was exhibited at the wood punk exhibition hosted by trend gruppen at hotel scandic anglais during the
stockholm furniture fair 2013.
