a simple broom is composed of three main elements: the bristles--which are used for sweeping up debris and dust--that are inserted into a
wooden or plastic component attached to a cylindrical handle in aluminium or wood, and a hole or string that is used for hanging it on a hook
when not in use. with their design 'baffi' for swedese, GamFratesi exploit the later of the three, extending the opening so that it double functions
as the handle, enhancing the overall purpose and characteristics of what is considered a mundane object. the danish-italian duo's expressive
interpretation of this cleaning tool is made from a solid piece of ash; the brush consisting of a combination of natural horsehair with a
small percentage of synthetic fibres to keep its rigidity. accompanied by a circular hook for hanging 'baffi' when not in use,
the peg has a graphic presence on the wall when the broom is absent. 'baffi' was presented at the 2013 salone del mobile
